Lindberg Galleries is proud to present “The Source” a solo exhibition by Venezuelan-born artist Francisco Tavoni, exploring expanded consciousness, astral projection, and the esoteric intersections of neuroscience, mysticism, and state-sponsored metaphysics through the lens of the now infamous Gateway Process.
Tavoni’s journey into this realm began through two spontaneous astral projections—direct experiences that would eventually lead him to the Gateway Process, a psychoacoustic technique developed by the Monroe Institute and studied in a declassified 1983 U.S. Army intelligence reporttitled “Analysis and Assessment of the Gateway Process.” Intended during the Cold War as a possible tool for remote viewing, the document outlines a synthesis of quantum physics, Eastern philosophy, and consciousness studies, suggesting the mind’s potential to transcend time and space.
At the heart of this method is the use of binaural beats—subtle frequency differences introduced to each ear to induce brainwave synchronization, enabling altered states of awareness. Long dismissed as fringe science, this practice gained renewed cultural attention when Page 25 of the report—a long-missing section—was recovered in 2022. The page emphasized the ancient maxim “Know Thyself” positioning self-awareness as the ultimate gateway to universal knowledge.
Tavoni’s “The Source” reimagines these themes in a visceral, multi-sensory experience.
The exhibition includes:
Tavoni’s work moves fluidly between speculation and science, personal myth and classified research. In “The Source,” perception itself becomes the subject—pushed to its limits, refracted through sound, symbol, and silence. It is an invitation not just to look, but to listen inward.
