Exclusive Studio Apartment in the heart of the action
Snuggled as a seperate adjunct to The Lennox proper is a private space with direct street access which acts as a snug B’n’B.
Safe, secure and private. Clean and quiet. That is certainly how most of us want our home-away-from home when we travel. Of course, we want the mod-cons, air conditioning, cable television and the Internet. But most of also want excitement, to be in the centre of things, to delight in a new environment. To taste the cuisine, to hear the music, to stroll the parks and gardens and art galleries and museums. The Lennox AirBnB offers all of the above plus a wonderfully friendly milieu in a setting which is pure historical Melbourne.
The Lennox AirBnB snuggles in a renovated bluestone building in the inner-city suburb of Richmond, which once acted as a pub and today acts as a suave gallery space for emerging and established artists. The BnB features private street-access and is only 3 kilometres/1.86 miles east of Melbourne’s CBD.
Public transport is ridiculously abundant with trams, trains and buses allowing rapid-fire access to such neighbouring regions as South Yarra’s fashion hub of Chapel Street and the beach-side coffee shop-heaven of St. Kilda.
The diverse suburb has been substantially gentrified since the early 1990s and now contains an eclectic mix of expensively converted warehouse residences and renovated Victorian Terraces. Three of the 82 designated major activity centres identified in the Melbourne 2030 Metropolitan Strategy are located in Richmond – the commercial strips of Bridge Road, Swan Street and Victoria Street (which is renowned for its Vietnamese eateries and is known as Little Saigon). And if night-life is your fancy, there is a plethora of buzzing hotels renowned for their live music. If you prefer classical music Victoria’s Arts Centre is a comfortable stroll away and situated next to the renowned National Gallery of Victoria. But if sports take your fancy the Melbourne Cricket Ground and the National Tennis Centre, where fans flock for the Australian Open, are equally close.
The Richmond District in San Francisco (the area north of Golden Gate Park) was named after Richmond.
Secluded enough for peace and quiet but a stone’s throw from all the action and eateries you can imagine, The Lennox AirBnB has it all.
